Wayback (Historical Timeline)

Wayback is a calendar view of every screenshot ever captured for a page — a visual history you can scroll back through, similar in spirit to the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine.

Browsing

Pick a page, then browse by Month, Multi-month (6 at a time), or a 12-month timeline view. Days with a capture show a marker; click one to see it, or click a day with several captures to pick a specific time. Use the language and viewport filters to narrow the timeline down to just the variant you care about.

Opening a screenshot gives you Previous/Next to step through history, zoom in/out or fit to screen, and a Download button to save it locally.

How far back it goes, and what's guaranteed to stay

Every completed capture your project has ever taken shows up here — full history, not just what your plan's normal retention window would otherwise keep.

On top of that, once a calendar month is fully over, VisualRunner permanently keeps one screenshot per page per month, for every language/viewport/capture-variant combination — picked automatically from whichever captures already happened that month (this never triggers an extra capture on its own). Those monthly snapshots are kept forever and are never subject to your plan's normal capture retention window, on top of anything you've separately protected or added to a Collection.
